Description

Like it or not, our early childhood experiences shape our personalities, parenting and relationships. Learn techniques for mindfulness and resiliency that you can pass along.

Location: 4620 17th Street, Sarasota (about 1 mile West of Honore Avenue). We will meet in the Starfish Academy conference room.

We will start with a brief tour of The Florida Center for Early Childhood and enjoy a presentation over lunch, with FL Center Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Kristie Skoglund.

Kristie has been an integral part of The Florida Center for Early Childhood for more than 20 years.  She has a master’s degree in counseling and psychology and a doctorate degree in counseling. Kristie has been endorsed by the state of Florida as an infant mental health professional and she is a trained facilitator of the Circle of Security parenting program. With her expertise in infant and young children’s mental health, trauma-informed care practices, and child-parent psychotherapy, Kristie is a frequent presenter for local, state and national groups. She is a native Floridian and happily married with boy/girl twins.

*Lunch and a drink will be provided.
